Securaplane Technologies, a leading supplier of avionics products for business, commercial and military aircraft, has appointed Kerry McGovern as its newest regional sales manager.
Kerry will be based in Miami, Florida and will cover the southeast and central United States. Within his territory, Kerry will be responsible for all accounts including OEMs, OEM service centers, distributors, operators, airlines, and independent modification centers.
McGovern comes to Securaplane with considerable aerospace experience. He has held positions focused on sales, systems engineering and technical support with an emphasis on customer facing activity.
Most recently, Kerry was with MarathonNorco Aerospace as a sales manager based in Waco, Texas. Prior to MarathonNorco, Kerry spent several years with Lockheed Martin in F-16 foreign military sales and systems engineering as well as some time with Gulfstream as a G-V avionics and systems technician.
Prior to that, Kerry was in the United States Marine Corps based at Beaufort, South Carolina as an F-18 avionics technician/manager.
Kerry holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle University and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University.
