Securaplane Technologies, a leading supplier of avionics products for business, commercial and military aircraft, has been awarded the 2014 Oro Valley, Arizona Chamber of Commerce large business of the year.

Earlier this year, Securaplane relocated into a newly-constructed 55,000 square foot facility that will house 180 employees in Oro Valley’s Innovation Park. Securaplane’s strong market growth has made it necessary to increase the size of its operations to support production programs for business jet, air transport, rotorcraft and military customers.

Securaplane was the first business to benefit from the Economic Expansion Zone in Oro Valley.  The Economic Expansion Zone, which Oro Valley Town Council approved on October 3, 2012, is an overlay district that streamlines the process and reduces the time required to establish or expand a business in that area.

“Securaplane is a proud member of the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce and we are honored to be recognized by the city with this award,” said Shubhayu Chakraborty, Securaplane’s President.

The Chamber of Commerce business award ceremony was held on August 8, 2014 at the Oro Valley Hilton El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort.
