Securaplane, a Meggitt company, has appointed CASP Aerospace Inc in Pointe-Claire, Quebec as its Canadian distributor for power products.  CASP’s initial focus will be on Hawker Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) aircraft batteries which require no maintenance and perform better than conventional lead acid and nickel cadmium (NI CAD) alternatives.

Construction of these maintenance-free batteries is in pure lead for longer life and better performance. They exhibit superior hot and cold performance, allowing operations in the toughest environments.  Shipping costs are lower through non-hazmat certification and all Securaplane batteries are shipped fully charged and ready to install.

After 15 years designing and manufacturing corporate and commercial aviation batteries, Securaplane’s lead-acid emergency and mainship batteries are installed as standard on several production aircraft and installed on numerous corporate and regional aircraft platforms through the STC process

CASP will support Securaplane’s full product line in due course, reinforcing the efforts of existing distributors in this important region.
