SECURAPLANE’S XL249 EMERGENCY
BATTERY NOW PMA’D ON G-V
On March 29, 2005 , Securaplane Technologies received Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) on its XL249 emergency battery system for installation on Gulfstream V aircraft. Securaplane developed the XL249 emergency battery for Gulfstream G-V production and it is now the standard production battery on the Gulfstream 350, 450, 500, and 550 aircraft.
Securaplane's XL249 emergency battery system features field-proven sealed lead acid batteries, battery level test, and a built-in precision charging system. There is no need to deep cycle or to remove the battery from the aircraft for a capacity check which reduces battery maintenance.
Securaplane has provided emergency batteries to Gulfstream since 1994, beginning with the well known, reliable XL246-S battery on the G-IV. Securaplane now manufactures a full line of sealed lead acid emergency battery systems that are available and installed on various aircraft, including Cessna Sovereign and Excel aircraft, Bombardier Challenger and Global Express aircraft, Dassault Falcon Jet aircraft, Gulfstreams, and Raytheon Hawker 800XPs, to name a few.
