SECURAPLANE TECHNOLOGIES AWARDED BOEING 787
CONTRACT FOR WIRELESS EMERGENCY LIGHTING SYSTEM

On December 21, 2004 Securaplane Technologies signed a contract with Boeing to provide a Wireless Emergency Lighting System (WELS) for the 787 Dreamliner. WELS is the world's first such system to be installed and certified on a large passenger transport aircraft.

Securaplane is the first company in aviation to successfully design, certify, build and support a critical wireless system on an aircraft with its wireless cargo smoke detection and suppression system, now flying on over 1500 airliners. Securaplane's WELS team member, Mark IV Luminator, is providing the LED lights for the WELS program. Luminator was the first to bring LED cabin lighting to the aviation market, with a 100% LED cabin lighting system that is fully certified and operating on Qantas Airlines.
