SECURAPLANE ANNOUNCES CMX-03 AUTOIRIS CAMERA

Securaplane Technologies Inc. have announced the release of their latest camera innovation, the auto-iris equipped CMX-03. The CMX-03 keeps the same mounting footprint as it’s CMX-01 sibling yet now incorporates high performance auto-iris optics offering extended dynamic range for improved imaging for both intense sunlit and low-light scenes.

The CMX-03 auto-iris lens offers a full-ranging aperture iris with an automatic filter which provides dramatically improved imaging performance especially when installed in areas that are subjected to high intensity reflections and direct sun exposure. Gone are the vertical white bar blooming artifacts that plague fixed iris lenses. The wide aperture also allows more light to reach the imager during night and dusk providing more usability in all lighting conditions.

The CMX-03 is in production with over a dozen units already delivered. A specially modified IR sensitive version of the CMX-03 has also been delivered to be used for a military airborne COTS application.

The CMX-03 is available as a vertical fin or fuselage mounted unit.
