Securaplane Technologies has been designated as the Design Authority for EnerSys’ Line of Hawker Main Ship Batteries for commercial and business aviation.

Securaplane Technologies, the Master Distributor of EnerSys’ Hawker batteries to commercial and business aviation in the US has now been announced by EnerSys as the design authority for their commercial and business aviation main ship batteries. Securaplane’s President, Dick Lukso, has been designing Hawker batteries into aircraft systems for more than 20 years. He was one of the pioneers in applying Hawker (Gates) sealed lead acid batteries to aircraft. Examples of Securaplane emergency batteries that benefit from Hawker sealed lead acid batteries are the XL246-A, XL246-S, XL245 series and many others.

Mr. Lukso says that he is pleased to be associated with EnerSys in an engineering relationship in addition to our aviation battery distributorship. “Being the design authority as well as the Master Hawker Distributor for commercial and business aviation provides decades of real world aviation expertise to main ship battery design” he said. “There is a lot of experience to be gained for the customer from the Hawker-Securaplane relationship”.
