On June 27, 2003 Securaplane Technologies, a leading manufacturer of avionics products for commercial, military and business aircraft, announced that it has achieved ISO 9001:2000 and AS 9100:2001 Section 1 certification.

The ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2001 Section 1 standards are internationally recognized quality standards for aerospace manufacturers that are used to determine an organization's ability to enhance customer satisfaction and meet customer, regulatory, and the organization's own quality requirements. Achieving ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2001 Section 1 certification confirms that the processes, procedures, and metrics are in place to extend our leadership position in service and support and product quality. Securaplane achieved certification in near record time, exemplifying it's long running commitment to quality processes, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Securaplane's pursuit of the ISO standard required a close look at systems and how they were working. Securaplane management and workers reviewed processes not only from the standpoint of are they meeting ISO requirements, but also from the standpoint of how can they be changed to better serve customers.
