TUCSON, AZ - 30 SEPTEMBER 2000 - Securaplane Technologies announced today the availability of two new high resolution video cameras for glare-shield installation; the CMZ-02 and CMF-01.
The CMZ-02 is a 72x zoom high resolution camera designed for glare shield and other internal mount locations. The CMZ-02 is a derivative of Securaplane's popular belly-mounted CMZ-01 zoom camera. The CMF-01 is a internal / glare shield mount version of their CMX series external fixed lens cameras.
The CMZ-02 and CMF-01 share a common mount that is a direct drop-in installation to existing glare shield mounting provisions provided by Bombardier, Dassault and Gulfstream. The cameras have already been specified for several new business aircraft installations and deliveries commenced in September.
The CMZ-02 and CMF-01 utilize the latest state-of-the-art imaging technologies which eliminate the need for remote video processing. Installation is vastly simplified and installed weight is up to 80% lighter than competitive units. For multiple camera installations and zoom control, these cameras interface direct to Securaplane's VCU-05 video control unit.
The CMZ-02 and CMF-01 will be on display with Securaplane's other offerings at NBAA 2000 (Booth 1940). Securaplane airborne video cameras are currently installed on Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Dassault and Gulfstream aircraft.
