For Immediate Release

Securaplane has received PMA certification for its
XL245 Emergency Battery System on Falcon 900EX aircraft.

On June 20, 2000, Securaplane received a Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) for its XL245-A/B/C emergency batteries on Falcon Jet's F-900EX aircraft.

Securaplane's XL245 series is a direct replacement for SAFT Ni-Cad emergency batteries as used on Dassault Falcon 2000, 900, 900EX, 50EX and re-engined F-20-5 aircraft. The XL245 series batteries are expected to be PMA'd on all Falcon Jet aircraft types by the end of the end of the third quarter, 2000.

The XL245's feature sealed lead acid batteries, battery level tests, and a built in precision charging system. Sealed lead acid batteries never require deep cycling and are not affected with "memory" or voltage depression. The battery level test places a known load on the battery and measures the battery energy. There is no need to remove the unit from the aircraft to perform this test! Our charger allows the battery to reach 80 - 90% full charge from a fully discharged state in one hour. These features make the XL245 Emergency Battery System the answer to battery maintenance reduction for Falcon Jet operators.
