10 March 1998 - Securaplane Technologies announced that Jim 
McCann has joined their team as Product Manager, Airborne Video 
Imaging Systems.  Jim comes to Securaplane from Sextant In-Flight 
Systems where he was involved with product definition and market 
development for airborne video camera systems.  He has over 19 years 
experience in the aviation industry and has previously held marketing/product 
support positions with Rockwell Collins and EECO Avionics Systems.

As a co-founder of Airborne CCTV in 1987, Jim was instrumental in developing 
the first commercially successful airborne video camera systems for safety, 
security and in-flight entertainment. As a result of his innovative efforts, he 
holds two patents in the field of airborne video camera technology.  He was 
also chairperson of the ARINC 628 CEI working group that defined standards 
for airborne video camera systems.

In his role at Securaplane,  Jim will have responsibility for their video camera 
product line as well as identify and pursue opportunities for airborne video imaging 
applications in the aviation industry.

Carl De Bruine has also joined the Securaplane Technologies team as
Director of Engineering. Carl comes from BFGoodrich Avionics Systems
where he was Systems and Display Department Manager responsible for a 
variety of avionics displays and flight control systems. His 33 years of
design experience includes autopilots, attitude indicators,
multifunction LCD displays and software design methodologies for real
time embedded systems.

His background also includes the design of a microprocessor based
automated mail delivery vehicle, specializing in optical scanning,
waveform analysis, and a micro-processor controlled steering servo. He
holds three patents in vehicle guidance and optical line scanning.

Securaplane is a designer and manufacturer of emergency power systems, 
main aircraft battery chargers, electronic aircraft security systems in addition 
to wireless aircraft smoke detection/reporting equipment. Securaplane is 
based in Tucson, Arizona.
