Securaplane's "wireless" Smoke Detection and Fire Suppression Control System (ST3000) has been selected by American Utilicraft Corporation for the new generation light freighter FF-1080


On October 15, 1998, American Utilicraft announced the selection of Securaplane as the supplier for smoke detection equipment for the new generation FF-1080 light freighter.

Securaplane's "wireless" smoke detection and fire suppression equipment decreases wiring weight, installation time while providing enhanced reliability over wired systems and significant system maintenance diagnostics.  Diagnostics for the sensors and entire system including suppression are displayed via a 10 character alphanumeric display as well as output capability to existing aircraft data bus.

Wireless smoke detection contracts include: Southwest Airlines, UPS, Airborne Express, Emery Worldwide, DHL (J.F.A.T. Joint Freighter Airline Team) and Sun Country Airlines.
