Securaplane awarded Bombardier Aerospace 
contract for the Main Ship Battery Charger 
on the CRJ and Challenger 604 aircraft.


An optional retrofit program for existing CRJ and Challenger 604 
operators will begin in October 1997.  Benefits for replacing the 
existing unit will be enhanced battery life, significantly reduced 
battery maintenance as well as significant safety enhancements.

On November 14, 1996,  Securaplane and Bombardier Aerospace finalized a 
contract for Securaplane's BC-1301 Main Ship Battery Charger for the 
Canadair Regional Jet* Airliner and Challenger 604* business jet 
program.

The BC-1301 features low weight, extensive diagnostics of both battery 
and charger, and high reliability miniature (high frequency) charging 
modules.  Securaplane is implementing SAFT's optimum charging algorithm 
for the CRJ and Challenger 604 Ni-Cad battery as well as for ULM 
applications.

Securaplane is a designer and manufacturer of emergency power systems, 
electronic aircraft security systems, and wireless aircraft smoke
