Securaplane received a TSO for its XL500/5 Emergency Battery System that is a direct replacement for DC versions of PS-835 B/D and PS-855B On July 28, Securaplane received a Technical Standard Order (TSO C4c) authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration for its XL500/5 Emergency Battery System. The XL500 series emergency batteries are the most technically advanced 1/4 ATR battery packs available today. Features include extensive diagnostics, a built-in charger to ensure peak charge state, and built- in test capability. There is no deep cycling required and no memory characteristics. The XL500/5 has been selected for the Raytheon (Beech) Premier 1 aircraft and is similar in concept to Securaplane's reliable XL246 (over 1000 in use) series of Emergency Battery Systems currently in use on Gulfstream GIII and GIV, Canadair Challenger, Falcon and other aircraft.
