Securaplane has received an STC for replacement of the existing main 
ship battery and charger, on the Northwest Airlines DC-9 fleet.  The 
Securaplane BC-1300 charger and SAFT ULM battery reflect the latest 
state of art in the industry.


On February 4, 1997, Securaplane received the STC for the installation 
for both the BC-1300 battery charger and SAFT ULM batteries.  PMA 
application for this equipment has been submitted and is expected early 
in March 1997.

The Securaplane BC-1300 charger incorporates advanced technology to 
provide increased reliability, efficiency, reduced size and weight as 
well as significant diagnostics to the DC-9 retrofit program at 
Northwest Airlines.  Securaplane is a SAFT distributor and provider for 
the Northwest Airlines SAFT ULM batteries.
