Securaplane received a PMA for the XL246-A Emergency Battery System for the Gulfstream III Aircraft On July 3, 1996, Securaplane received a Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) from the Federal Aviation Administration for the XL246-A Emergency Battery System for installation on the Gulfstream III aircraft. The XL246-A features Sealed Lead Acid Dry Cell Batteries that require no maintenance and have exceptional high and low temperature characteristics. Features include enhanced shelf life compared to the Ni-Cad units they replace with no deep cycling or memory characteristics. Securaplane is in the process of obtaining a PMA for the XL246-A on Dassault Falcon 50 aircraft.
