Securaplane systems are installed on the aircraft of heads of state, CEOs, and VIP aircraft of many of the most profitable companies in the world.

Securaplane is a recognized leader in the field of battery charging, battery technology and DC power conversion. We have over 12,000 emergency batteries in service on various aircraft platforms. Our Power product line also includes chargers, inverters, cycle converters and main ship batteries. Securaplane is the Master Distributor and Design and Certification Authority for Hawker brand batteries by EnerSys for commercial and business aviation in the US.

Securaplane offers a complete line of airborne video cameras for safety, security and inflight entertainment. For private and business aircraft, we make interior and exterior cameras, including vertical fin cameras, multi-camera units, zoom cameras and more. We also offer camera controllers and a digital video recorder.

For commercial aircraft, we offer Entertainment Camera System (ECS) to add a dynamic dimension to an airline’s IFE mix without recurring programming costs. Passengers get a real-time glimpse of the world outside of their aircraft from forward, down, aft and vertical fin mounted cameras. Our Cockpit Door Surveillance System is currently offered by Airbus for the A330/A340 and A380 aircraft. It is the first system with a digital video output that is viewed directly on the primary flight displays.

Securaplane was selected to provide the first ever OEM installed “essential” wireless system for the Boeing 787… Wireless Emergency Egress Lighting. Securaplane’s proprietary “SecuraNet” technology offers advantages such as a self healing mesh network, spread spectrum frequency hopping, data encryption, weight reduction, enhanced reliability, reduced installation time, EMI immunity and full diagnostic capability via its wireless data bus.

On April 20, 2011, Securaplane was acquired by Meggitt PLC.
